first quad
#1
I'm not sure what kinda quad to get. I'm looking for a sport quad, 4 stroke, manual. I am 15 and I have rode quads before, but I am small only 110 lbs. Pls help me out on deciding on a new quad. My options are Blaster, 250R, or a warrior.

I'm guessing you don't want a Polaris but you should check them out anyway they are really nice quads. But otherwise I would go with the Blaster. Advantages are cheap, very snappy 2 stroke motor, and lots of fun. I have ridden both EX and Blaster and I like the acceleration of the Blaster better.

well xero, he is right, you said that you want a 4 stroke manual. well, the blaster is a 2 stroke, and the 250r is a 2 stroke. hmmm, lets see. even considering those 2 strokes you listed, in my opinion, i think i would go with the 300ex. the 300 is the 1 out of all those you said that i rode the least amount of time, probably for about 15 minutes. but it is nice, i owned a blaster. they are quick, but the cable brakes suck, they are very small, so if you are tall you might feel cramped up. 2 stroke, so you will be kicking to start, and no reverse. the warrior is a nice quad, elcetric start, rev., lots of power, the only thing i didn't care for is that they don't seem like they handle the best. i tried to spin it around and ened up stoping and putting it in reverse to turn around. but overall, its a nice quad. and the other, the 250r, unless you rode before, then weighing 115lbs, i think the 250r would take you for a ride, not you take it. no offense, they are quick. and again, if electric start and rev. are in your plans, none there either. so, i would have to say the 300ex is the best choice, just a matter of opinion. electric start, rev., handles well, and has plenty of power. i would suggest going out and test riding a few different models. of coarse you won't find a '00 250r out there. its too bad! well, good luck

I KNOW IT WASN'T ON YOUR LIST BUT THE KAWASAKI MOJAVE IS A VERY VERY GOOD MACHINE. NY FRIEND HAS A STOCK MOJAVE AND IT WILL OUT PERFORM A STOCK 300EX EVERYDAY OF THE AND IT IS ONLY A 250 AND IT IS A 4STROKE LIQUED COOLED QUAD ... MY OTHER FRIEND HAS THE 300EX AND HE EVEN THINKS THE MOJAVE IS A BETTER MACHINE TO ...
