worm1983 try to get a few more than 7 posts before you start making comments like that on topics that you obviously know nothing about. I have beaten my share of yfz's a scram400 when modded correctly can be very fast.

 

go with an 05 pred if possible, they can usually be modded to go pretty fast and with their powerband they dont feel heavy at all.

 

What is a YFZ...I have never seen one in front of me....lol

 

Go all out and buy a Hayabusa turbo powered hillclimber quad....

hey you want to beat that yamaha yfz buy a real bike spend like 800 to 1000 bucks for a nice 350x and build it im tellin ya u wont be disappointed and the bike will last forever, if u like atcs that is

 

P.S. with itported and polished and the big bore kit( 452cc) and pipes no yamaha stands a chance

 

my dads banshee which he made completely made, new pipe ($500) new gears and new suspension blows away stock yfz'z. the yfz isn't that great, my uncle has one, he put like 1.5k into it and it barely beats the banshee, buy the banshee and put some cash into it, ull be untouchable

 

yeah i rode a bone stock preda tor and beat a bone stock yfz but i have also ben on quads since i was 2 so i did have a little more expirienc but te number one thing is it all depends on the rider
