depending on your budget and any previous riding experience.... I'd say Z/KFX/DVX 400, or maybe a 400EX

The Warrior/Raptor 350 is also nice but depending on your riding style and such you may feel bored with it ...

One of the 400's. The Honda if you are mostly a tight trail rider, and the Suzuki if you ride more open country. Both bikes mod up well when you are ready for more power. Handling is superb on both machines!

i say get 1 of the 400's. like reconranger said, the z400 likes to rev, while the 400ex has more low end. i say the only place an ex is better is on the really tight trails. you can buy any year, and you can get either of these bikes real cheap used

if you can, go for a 04 400EX, there cheaper then the 05's, which only add reverse and slight gearing changes, the 05 costs like 5800, while an 04 might be like 5100-4800

Under anything less that all out racing conditions, your Warrior will handle anything you throw at it, and do it without complaint. they are absolutely bulletproof. With the updates they have made with the renamed Raptor 350, it is a heck of a deal. Older warriors are available cheap too.

You might look at a blaster as well... althoug a two stroke may not be an option in some parts of the country.. they are really cheap new.

There are lots of aftermarket hop up parts available for both if you get bored.
