I live in Hawaii and would love to buy an ATV for the beach and go all out fast, but at the same time, I wanna take out when I go hunting also. I'm just a beginner to an ATV, but since I'm getting my hunting license wanted to know what kind of ATV to buy. I was considering an ATV 2x4 or 4x4 which one would suit both of my needs? ATV's I considered was the Yamaha Warrior or the Honda FourTrax Foreman. Help me out and give me a way to find the right ATV or give me other ATV's that would be a good choice.

Please...get something else for hunting. If I were in hawaii I would only want a banshee. Forget about everything else. If any one has read other posts, I rarely suggest a banshee, but for Hawaii on the beach I think a Banshee would rock!!

But for WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING for to go hunting....if your going for any sort of big game hunting or really want to carry all your supplies you need a 4x4. The problem is that this just doesn't look cool to catch other people's eyes. But then again you could be married so the speed and get girls to look at you factor may have left years ago....But I guess that the Rancher or Foreman 400 would suite you fine. I'd suggest the Rancher cuz its cheaper and it'll do fine. The Rancher is one of my favorite utility atv's.

Hmmmm, lemme see, I'm 20 and single. OF COURSE I WANT WOMEN TO LOOK AT ME haha. But, I was considering a 2X4 ATV because I would want to take it on the beach and dirt bike tracks. But like I said, I also want an ATV that can hold all my hunting equipment. So the Yamaha Warrior isn't all that great?

hehe. no the warrior won't be able to go hunting on. the wolverine-maybe. and thats nice. but its a 4x4. you can't get a sport quad really. a recon will fit nicely. but seriously go hunting in something else. get a banshee for the beach.

no but really. if u want a 2x4 and go hunting a recon, rancher 2x4, or wolverine (a nice 4x4) will do nicely.

scramblers don't look cool to start with
and also...you'll have to add racks. and those racks aren't good enough to go hunting on

CMP makes front and rear (normal looking) racks for the Warrior and Honda 400EX. Order a Rocky Mountain catalog from www.rockymountainatv.com

Which one is better? Honda Rancher ES or the Yamaha Wolverine? Oh and wich would be good for a 125 lbs. 5'4" man?

id say the wolverine is all around cooler. and just cuz you put racks on a sport quad doesn't make it able to put a gun on it, carry carcasses, and load extra gas (if you should). It might, but I'd just go with a sport utility- ie: Wolverine.

I think the Wolverine is cooler than the Rancher. Its faster, and a sport utility.
