Choosing a new ATV: Grizz, BF, KQ, or TP
When I was looking at buying a Grizz/P700 or Brute Force We managed to get demo's off all 3 machines one day and when riding.
When drag racing we found it would be the BF by about 2-3 quad lenghts the the 700 the the grizz about 2-3 behind the P700
We took the across a plowed field fairly fast. The grizz was the smoothest, the BF was next (not far behind) the the 700. What I noticed is if you hit a large bump or rut 8-10 inches the BF would sock it up and the grizz would through you around a bit. the BF and 700 we could wheelie with ease. The grizz you could get the frt end up with some work but we couldn't keep it up there for very long. I liked the way the diff locked worked on the Kawie's better then the yam. If you started to get stuck you can just pull on the lever and when you need to steer just let off and turn. the grizz locked up and on the throttle would be tough to steer. we play in lots of muskeg. The machine I tested were brand new

Choosing a new ATV: Grizz, BF, KQ, or TP
Well I went out to the bike shops this weekend and saw a Grizz, BF and KQ. I didn't get to ride any of them, and it's hard to tell much from sitting on them. They all felt ok to sit on, and sag about the same when you do. I know the BF has a lot of power, but I'm personally not too keen on it's looks. I like how the grizz looks and there's a lot of info out there about it since it's been around for a while.
Overall the machine that impressed me the most was the KQ. I like how it looks and the thought of the EFI is rather appealing instead of rejetting, and it's ability to adjust to altitude. What also kind of surprised me was that the prices were all the same. I thought definately the KQ and probably the BF would be more than the Grizz. Talking to the salesmen I think a comparable deal could be had on any of the machines. I also like the diff lock switch better than the Grizz, just flipping the lever without also having to push another button.
Now I am seriously considering the KQ over the rest. Just some questions:
Can it adjust to exhaust and air filter mods, or will the ECM need to be reprogrammed/replaced?
Someone told me the machine will run even if the battery is completely dead. Is this true?
In the CVT, is the belt always engaged(like a Yamaha), or does it slip when the machine isn't moving?
The ignition has an aux. position. What is this for?

The KINGQUAD has 4 key positions, "OFF"-(engine off), "ON"-(engine on but no headlights on), "3rd position"-(engine on and 2 lower headlights on), and "AUXILLARY"-(engine on, 2 lower headlights on and handlebar headlight also on-Suzuki calls this the auxillary headlight).
