Default Scrambler or VForce

I had a scrambler and sold it to buy my v-force. I ride in the snow with my V and it does fine as long as it is not to deep. The 4x4 will for sure do better in the deep snow, but I am VERY happy with my decision to go with the V

get the V unless you need the 4x4

both great bikes

now if the V just offered a 4x4 option......

Old Thread but came acrossed it , Id like to know how the VForce handles rough wooded trails(fallen trees) with a extra rider and the occasional mud pit ? I will be riding with 4wds so if I need to get out of something Im sure they can help me out. Hands down I can see the Vforce being faster Im just worried about being stuck all the time or uncomfortable with a extra rider. Im 6'3 223lbs , GF is 5'7 130 lbs. The Vforce looks a lil cheaply built too how are they against Polaris on reliability and maintenance ?

It does pretty well in the woods. It's got more ground clearance than most other sport quads, which is a huge advantage. You can go a few places that will high center something like a YFZ or 450R. It also does OK in mud but make sure you've got a 4x4 with a winch near by.

With an extra rider it might not be as good though, at least not with a full sized adult.

I ended up going with the V (obviously, see my sig ). In the end I wanted more power and less weight and decided that 4wd wasn't really going to matter.

For my taste, both these bikes are just to big and heavy (I HAVE ridden both!). Are you a really big guy, so therefore are looking for a large frame machine??? You mentioned you want a bike that is "fun to ride". When the standard in sport bikes is now 350 pounds, I can't imagine what is "fun" about a huge heavy 500-600 pound machine.

What machines have you considered that are in the under 400 pound class??? There are a bunch of them. Just wondering why you rejected them???

they handle better then decent, but not outstanding in the woods.Fallen trees are no problem cuz of that monster ground clearance.

You just have to know how to ride a 2 wheel drive in the snow, you have to work it alittle harder, rock it side to side and get alittle aggresive.

I own a V Force and have ridden the Scrambler many times, unless you're doing techincal rock climbing, I'd go with the V Force, the Scrammy is a nice ride though. I was faced with the same decision when I bought the V, it was actually for my wife, she only rides sand, that made my choice easier. Now if you want to ride strictly trails and I don't mean nice flat, wide ones, go with the Srammy.
