Bomb Outlander 800
Alright, dammit, call me a hypocrite if you want! LOL... I broke down and had me a look at the BRP website last night. BUT, only because of that damn flashing ad for it at the top of these forum threads! Evil thing!!! :-) I don't reckon that new 800 looks too bad. Way too expensive though; more than what I would really want to pay anyway. I dunno.........there's just something about settling for a canteloupe (Bomb, etc.) when deep down inside you know you really would rather have a watermelon (Suzuki/Yamaha) instead. We'll see... I know it probably wouldn't be right if I didn't at least go so far as to have a physical look at one before I buy. What say you?

I say you should at least go look at it and if you like the looks then test one out because it is a lot of quad even if it is Bombardier, It's faster and more powerful than anything else right now so it deserves a look....but it is very expensive when comparing it to a KQ or Grizzly that will do the same things great just without all that extra horsepower to play around with.

I have test rode the 800 Bomb, a couple of times now.The 800 has great power, but best price in my area (std mod) $9599.99 The (xl mod) $10,399.99 , plus 6% TAX, And none in stock. They are taking orders now with $2500.00 down money, At these prices ,they are not even in the game as far as I am conserned. Not when I can buy a 2005 King Quad within 250 miles from home for $6299.00, a 800 Polaris for $7700.00 within 50 miles of home . They are terribly over priced

I test drove one, too, a few weeks ago. Needless to say, it was very nice. But, as others have pointed out in this particulat thread, it is definitely not worth the substantial amount of extra money above and beyond the likes of the KQ or the Grizz. I won't be buying one for the $10,700 OTD that I was quoted.

I personally couldn't justify paying over $8K for a quad as of right now because I could get a very good used automoble for this kind of money. I really like ridding quads and everything, but a car seems like so much more of a smart investment than a $8,000 quad to me. but I'm not going to lie, I really like the Outtlander 800 and I think that bombardier has really taken a big step in the quad world, and with the 800, Bombardier has went from not being talked about much(in the ute world) to being the most talked about and the most wanted and they are really showing everone how good of a product they can make. But if it is really $10,700 OTD, that's quite a price jump from other very good powerful quads like the Grizzly, KQ, Praire and the BF 750-(which with a few mods isn't far in power). But the Bombardier is the best, and is superior over the others, no matter what anyone says, and if you want the best you have to pay for it, that's the way it's always been, and the way it always will be.

my local bomb dealer sent my brother a dvd shootout between the 800 bomb, 800 polaris, and the 750 brute-it was a BRP promo type dvd so of course it was biased- but they did a mud bog, a sled pull, and a drag race-the bomb had no probs in the mud as opposed the 750 which got stuck, it buried the others in the sled pull by 50 ft with the 750 in second, and it dusted the 750 and 800 polaris in the drag-from that, it looks to be an impressive machine-easily the most powerful on the market, does it justify the crazy price?? thats your call

My 800 out the door, but without the extras - snow plow, xt kit ... was 8100. I was going to buy the polaris 700, I found a place that would dea, and rode the bike. .. it was ok.. but I wasn't really impressed. I was at Sams in Colorado Springs and saw them advertised (I had all the paper work filled out on the Polaris) and thought, what the heck, I'd check it out. After riding it, I couldn't get the smile off of my face. It just felt so much more comfortable and stable than the Polaris 700. I now have my
yellow Sparky Sunshine BOMB 800 sitting in my garage, and I'm outfitting it for amateur radio search and rescue.... Yes it cost me significantly more than the Polaris, but I figure I wont be buying a lot of them, this is my first ATV toy... so I wanted to get what was for me, the best.... I have absolutely no regrets, and I know if I had bought the Polaris 700, I would be kicking myself every time I saw the Bomb 800... I'm not a little guy, and it just feels so much better for me.
