Bombardier 400 or Polaris 700

OK,
I'm new to ATVs. I looking at purchasing either a new 2005 Bombardier 400 Outlander for $4,999 or a new 2005 Polaris 700 Sportsman (non EFI) for $5,599. Which one should I get and why. I'm 5'10 and weigh about 260. Will be using for plowing, hunting and all around playing. Thanks all.

where are you buying these machines? and how are the prices so low? i would get the 700, even though i hate polarises, because its only $600 more for 300cc's. That extra power is useful when plowing and pulling deer and stuff out of the woods. 450kodman

Yeah get the Polaris 700 it's a lot more ATV for not much more money. 400cc utility quads aren't fun playing around with IMO just not enough power and 400cc is the absolute minimum amount of power you should have for plowing, trust me I just sold a 400cc quad this past this summer, 700cc quads are twice the fun!

I just bought a Polaris Sportman, I drove a Bomb Outlander and Artic Cat. I found the Sportman to be the most comfortable and appears to be built better than the others. E.g. better brake lines, radiator protection, suspension.......However, I did like the Bomb especially the warranty. The AC was just too uncomfortable for me.

I think this is comparing apples and oranges. Look at the Outlander 800 I'm sure it will fit the bill quite well. BTW 4999 for a new 4x4 Outlander is a pretty sweet deal. $600 more for a 700 though? HHHMMMM.......not bad either but I'm simply not sold on Polaris.
