Ok, I'm looking in to getting a quad and decided to ask what you guys think would be the better pick. A local dealer sells both Kawasaki and Polaris so those are my two prime options. I'm looking at the Polaris Predator TLD and Kawasaki 400KFX (both are new and price is within 600 of eachother). It will be used MAINLY for trail riding, but may be raced sometime (just not immediatly). Won't be modded right after I get it either. As far as my size goes I'm about 6' 180lbs if that helps make a decision. My experiance with ATV's isn't alot, but a fairly decent amount. Thanks.

 

The Z is one sweet machine. Great all-around handling, and it hops up real nice with some simple mods once you are ready for more power. The engine is proving to be solid and durable, but be aware of some corrosion issues with the magnesium covers in the more recent years.

 

go preddy, you will love the kfx\z until you ride a preddy. I know this from personal experiance. I do alot of trail riding and I mx and the preddy's suspesion adjustability is second to none. Hope this helped! good luck

 

go with the KFX kawi has the quality issues down pat and plus they are lighter gives ya more freedom when racing if you do. polaris just has to much of an issue with reliability.

 

THe polaris predator is a very reliable sport quad with way better performance than the kfx 400. Polaris has problems with there Sportsmans in reliabilty, not the predator.

 

my preddy has been extremely reliable. Also the 2006's come with a 3 year waranty. kfx has a 3 month
