How good or bad is Honda's financing?
#1
I've been reasearching for months and I can't find any ATV that I like better than a Rancher 350 4X4 manual. I just like for things to be simple and durable. Sadly, I can't spring for the full amount of a new Honda. I would be able to pay about $1500 down and I have no credit problems. Has anyone used Honda's finance program? Should I consider that or just use my local bank or credit union?

always go with a lower rate no matter who offers it. Never fall for the $39/month for first 2 years and stuff from yamaha and suzuki. those are ripoffs. they, and sadly honda offer a OEM credit card and its like 17-21% interest...do the math on a $5K bike..it would take years to pay off.
BUT, most banks will not finance an atv for under 9-12% around here. Ive used honda straight deals financing NOT ON THE HONDA CARD, but straight, conventional financing and it is a good deal, no hidden fees, charges, anything. their rate was 6.9% at the time- cheaper than any bank or credit union at the time.
one more thing, if honda approves you, you have good credit. honda doesnt finance just anyone.

Yes, I'm looking for straight financing. No gimmicks for me. I have a car financed with Honda. No problems there. I wonder if it's the same group that finances ATVs?
