These are great points here guys. What has come of the sp500's stalling problem? I have read of a few of them having problems with that. Other than that, I think I am pretty close to getting the Polaris.

I met again with the Kawasaki dealer and he said he would budge 200 bucks, lowering the price of the BF 650 (non IRS) to 6616.00. Heck, he wanted full MSRP of 7300 on the BF650i. That price is still ridicolous, so Kawi is definitely out.

I have the Honda guy emailing me an out the door price of 6500 on the Rubicon, but I have heard bad things about its transmission, and it does not have IRS. The Rincon is way out of my budget so that is out.

This is the first year the efi has been offered on the sp500. It had some issues at first, however, they have all been worked through and it is as dependable as the 500ho (carbs) now.

 

I have 2 carb machines that haven't given me the first problem. I have not had to have the carbs tuned or rejetted at this point. Also the guy with the 97 500 with over 15k miles has never had anything done to his carb either. However, although I have been trouble free if i were in the market for a new machine it would have to be efi. They are more versitile. not only can you change elevatons with them without rejetting, but you can add mods like throw a K&N or change the exhaust, or clutch kit without having to rejet for the changes either.
