The Suzuki Eiger is a fun sporty quad that is 4 wheel drive. My wife enjoys driving it and she is 5'2" and about 105lbs.I have the manual shift so it makes it a little more fun. Hope this helps.

A blaster is a good start, not much power but it looks good.

You are in the desert, so I assume you are looking for a sport quad, not a lard a$$ utility????

If I were 100 pounds, I would be ripping around on a Blaster! The Honda 250EX is a nice ride as will, and more troulble free than a 2-stroke.
