I think i have narrowed it down to a honda 450r, or a suzuki z400. Iwould like 2 kno sum bad, and good things about these quads. I ride tight woods trails, a little sand, a little moto cross, and some drag racing with friends. I ride with blasters, a warrior, a cr 125, and a ozark if that helps ene.

well either one you choose you will be very happy with they are both nice quads my friend has a z400 and we ride through trails and he seems to do pretty well with it and mud and drag racing every once and a while.Really the only bad thing I have heard with the Z's are that the shock mounts seem to crack but other then that they are an all around machine. The 450r's are geared a little bit higher and aren't as friendly when going through the trails but will be awesome when drag racing and mxing but from what vehicles you listed I don't think you would have a problem cruching them with either.

 

have you looked at the honda 400ex? they are a overall great quad for what you are looking for.

 

I have, in fact i was set 2 get 1, but wen buying new i looked at them both and saw that the z400 is cheaper ( for 2007 ), has better suspension, and is liquid cooled. Not 2 mention faster most likely. If i got a 400ex it would be a used 1 in mint condition, with a pipe, nerfs, and some other goodies.

 

I've had both the 400ex and now a Z400. They both handle well but the Z has more power and 'feels' lighter when riding. Plus its liquid cooled. My vote would be for the Z, but both are good quads. Can't say much about the 450R except I needed reverse.
