I would choose a king quad 700 if you just want to put around or the grizzly I like the outlander alot as I am bomb guy but it sounds like you just want something to ride and have fun on but you will be spending more for an outlander although they are a great quad...The bf has good power but the handling is terrible or so i hear...or even a vinson 500 would be a good quad for you since you can put a plow on any of the above quads...the kq 700 has efi,irs which means no carb to mess with at different elevations the new grizzly 700 and outlanders have it also except for the outlander 400 I believe...The new grizzly 700 has power steering which is pretty cool...I would recommend anything over 500 for you and arctic cat is good also same with polaris but would go with the other before I went with the others...I was going to recommend the kfx 700 from kawi as it isn't chain driven and is a still a sport quad and you might be able to plow with it but aren't too sure or even the ds650 or raptor 700 but sounds like you want a ute instead.

I think I have found a good deal on an 06 Kodiak 450. It seems to have all I want, 2/4 wheel drive, locker. I have been told by some that IRS is important and it has that.

Any thoughts about the Kodiak. I think the 450 will be plenty of power for me.

Very nice looking quad I was looking into one but will have to see I want to put some money into my racing quads first take a look at squeege in the yamaha forum he has a really nice black one

 

Yes, I agree, a very good quad. I see a LOT of these around. Did you see the Wolverine? Very similar to the Kodiak but a little more sporty.

 

yea I saw one when I went to watch the pro's race at a local track there was one in the pit area pretty nice but I don't like the front end so much as I do with the kodiak.
