Budman650, It's quite clear from carlw's post that he has had to work from ten year's old. For some American's that is A way of life. His spelling may not be the greatest. But he has A sense of value's that most rich kid's do not. Thank about it the next time you pay your daughter's tuition. I've been there, done that. No hard feeling's, But found that post to be rude.

Careful weez440, Budman650 is checking spelling, grammer and punchuation

May be a bit rude, sarcastic, funny, useless but true. We all have our hardcore working for a living stories.
Go back and read some of his comments about his kid, though. I'm sorry, but his kid won't be much better if dad gets his way and "old enough to be usefull", "get it out of his hide", "fend for himself", "little SOB". To be honest, I would be scared to death to be his kid right now.
I did feel a little remorse after posting that reply, but the more I look at carlw's post, the more I'm upset with the way he will treat his kid.
Hey Middleaged, no hard feelings. We all make speeling mistakes. (Thank?) BTW, what do you consider middle aged? I think I'm there.

Actually, weez did pretty good for the amount of typing. I hate hitting that "shift" key, too.
I give weez a 98%. A+ on a curve. Can anyone find the misspelled word?

Default Am I a bad Dad ???

this thread has made me think of how blessed that i am. Me being only 16 and my dad giving me $2000-$2800 to buy any quad that i wanted when i didnt even have a job at the time...he was either going to get me a brand new blaster or like 250ex or any used quad in that price range i found and wanted...Thats when i started looking at a 2001 or 2002 i dont remember warrior that had nerfs bumper tires rear rims supertrapp exhaust high compression pistons and a few more things into it for $2800 but it was in FAIR condition and thats what i thought i wanted because it was the first "sport" quad i found in the paper but my dad told me i should wait becuase it was in FAIR condition. Then i got mad because i wanted it ASAP and i kept going on about how oh itll be 5 months from now and ill be lucky if i have one and stupid stuff like that then about a week later hes like ok if thats really what you want well get it then but dont complain to me when it breaks down. So then about a day later we see a 2002 400ex/$2800 and a 2000 400ex/$2550 in the paper. So we go and see and ride the 00 400ex and its in MINT condition and make the story short thats what i got. And im VERY grateful and happy that i waited like my dad said because this is an awesome quad and way better then the warrior if i got that

First, thanks for the support on my decision, like a lot of you, I had to work my butt off at his age ( I'm 45,so that was a while ago), so I do expect a bit of effort on his part. Turns out my decision was a good one, last week, my Escort, with 173,000 miles on it, dropped a valve and grenaded the motor, so I needed to car shop anyway. Made a deal with the boy, get a job, keep the grades up and save money, and this spring we would go looking for a used z400 or something like that,he seems ok with that, he even got a call last night for a job at the local McDonalds, just the thing for night and weekend work ( as long as he keeps the grades up). Meanwhile I got a newer car ( 99 Chrysler 300M, a big step up from an Escort wagon) so everyone seems happy for now !!! So thanks again for the responses, and the support I got here !!
