Is the LTZ400 fast enough?

Hi. I currently have a 2004 yz 125. And where i live it is legal to ride an atv on the road, so i am considering trading my yz in so i can ride to the trails with my father. My only concern is, the power. I am used to a pretty powerfull bike. How would a z400 stack up to my 125? not only in top end, but take off and mid range.

ya the z400 would probably be good, i think they top out around 70mph, correct me if i'm wrong... They are more of a trail riding quad. Hey where do u ride, that it is legal to ride on the road. I'm an hour from toronto. So off take off the z400 would probably be good, top end ya probably good to i dunno about midrange though, you will have to talk to someone who has one

Welcome to the forums.
The z is a good overall quad. Good power stock, and lots of add ons to boost it once you're used to it.
What is your father riding?

Thanks for the info. My Dads riding an 06' Kodiak 450. And i dont actually live in toronto. I live in a small town kinda near it called marmora. Its allright to ride on the road if ur atv is plated and insured. Theres a great iron mine in marmora to ride at 2.

I ride with kids who are on 125's. They will beat me off the line every time,.but after that I can hang with them all day, even on the 400EX.
The Z has great hop up potential with just a few simple mods like giving it more air. Best all-around machine that there is!

No WaY mamora, i have a cottage 10 minutes away. that means you ride the heritage trail right? thats where i ride! lol those are some sweet trails. So it is actually legal to ride atvs in mamora, so i could drive right by a cop and not have to run away, you mean i could just smile and ride on by ??? why have i not been told this, why? That mini ur talking about is fraking awesome, me and my buddiesplay "tag" there with the atvs. the hills are sweet, it has a sweet drag strip to, and the jumps WOW!

Yes in marmora there is some bylaw that u can ride on the roads, just not the highways. As long as ur atv is plated and insured. Yea those trails are pretty sweet. I love riding at the mines, the jumps are awsome!
