Default Sportsman 800 vs Grizzly 700 vs Outlander 800

I'm going to be buying new atvs very soon and I'm picking between these 3...

Polaris - Sportsman 800
Yamaha - Grizzly 700 EPS
Can-am - Outlander 800

I mainly ride on trails where some parts are open and other parts require slow technical movements around trees, logs, etc. Also the occasional rock crawl and gravel trails. Power and speed are important to me, but being comfortable and being able to get through any terrain is the ultimate goal. Making sure that in slow technical riding where only 2 or 3 wheels are on the ground, im going to have enough traction to keep going...that's probably #1 factor for me...#2 would be the power and speed....

I will rarely, if ever, being going through mud or water deeper than 1 foot...if that helps eliminate one of these 3 quads.

Thanks in advance

I would choose the Grizzly, go to www.yamaha-motor.com/outdoor, and order the free Grizzly dvd or watch it online, it has all three ATVs plus a lot more big bores.
Welcome to the forums.

I would suggest riding them if possible, but may not be for your #1 reason. Dealers may not let go of them that far. Sportsman is heavy, but rides very nice with AWD and plenty of power. I ride similar to what you describe, trails that get technical.

godx, all 3 of the above mentioned are large bore machines, so power is not an issue, however the weight associated with that power may, is a big heavy machine what you want or need? try to get some seat time, then decide, as out.2d. states the sportsman has the caddliac ride and a true awd, the other two quads certainly can get r done. i hope the knowledge remains unbiased from this point on in this thread. smooth trails brother.

Not that I am suggesting other brands but just out of curiosity... why did you not have the Rincon or the King Quad on your list??? Just curious as to why???
