Default tryin to decide on what to buy?

i have a 04 yfz450 at the moment but i am looking to get a 08 ?? here in the next couple months. my 04 is about on its last leg, its been thru alot! but anyways i cannot deicide on what i want. so what do u all think would suit me best? i ride woods and trails mostly. i dont do any MX or anything, maybe race in 300 ft. that bout the only racing i do. would hit small jumps on occasions. i cant deicde but i want one of these.want a good reliable and fast quad, gotta try to keep up with my riding partners on their rappy700 and trx450
400ex
trx450r
raptor700

im a big honda fan
but i think that the YFZ 450 is the best 450 you could buy, if thats what your looking for. Its got a very adjustable suspension, the reliability of a Honda, and i think the 08 models come with EFI. If you want to keep up with your buddies this is the right bike. The YFZ and the TRX 450 are about the same speed stock for stock. And i know it gives the Raptor 700 a run for its money. But with a few bolt on mods like an exhaust and air filter you will have a fast, fun, and reliable quad.
Thats just my two cents, good luck with your decision.

i am kinda leaning toward the 400ex or rappy700. since i ride mostly trails. have been told they are the most reliable on the trails

yes the hondas are extremely reliable in the trails, great for endurance riding
i would pick the 400ex over the rappy

i would be downgrading on the power. going from my yfz450 to the 400ex... would i be able to tell a big difference. i have only ridden a 400ex 1 time and that was bout 5 years ago and i rode a blaster at the time so of course the 400ex felt fast.

You wouldnt be downgrading by a whole lot
i would just put a geared down sprocket in the front to give it more bottom end
it will keep up with the 450 off of the line
and give it more torq in the trails

I hope you didn't give to much for it. I had posted a reply in your other thread on where you could have gotten one for $3995 OTD.
