ATV Sport Magazine just did a 450cc shootout with all seven major brands included. They picked the best 450cc ATV for trail riding / cross country use, and here was the finishing order:

1. KTM 450 XC
2. CanAm DS 450
3. Polaris Outlaw 450
4, and 5. Tie between Honda TRX 450R and Yamaha YFZ 450
6. Kawasaki KFX 450
7. Suzuki LT-R 450

-------------------------
In the garage:
'08 Yamaha Raptor 250 SE
'07 Yamaha Rhino 660
'07 Yamaha Grizzly 700 Camo
'07 Yamaha Grizzly 700 SE
'07 KTM 300 XC-W
'06 KTM 300 XC
'06 KTM 65 SX
did a 450 shootout

Got to give some specifics about your type of riding!

The Suzuki is a wide, which is good for the track or open country, but not on a tight trail. Doesn't have a lot of ground clearance.

I like the YFZ for play riding/track, but it isn't very comfortable for all day cross-country rides. Better trail quad than the Suzuki.

Whats your price point? The Can-Am and the KTM are the highest price points. Check the Kawi 450R, reasonable price point, EFI and has reverse(only 2 in the 450 class with a reverse, if you think it might be handy).
