I agree that a name brand ATV provides better quality, product support, and parts availability than a no-name brand. I must admit that I have been tempted to consider a Chinese brand that is 4 times cheaper than an equivalent size Japanese model. Unfortunately most of the used ATVs I have looked at were pretty beat up and not cheap. I have read mixed reviews regarding off brands and was curious if anyone can recommend a decent Chinese brand out there. Other posts I have seen are very hit-or-miss, and usually one extreme or another. Either the owners loved their Chinese made machine or they hated it. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

Happy with mine, got about 100 miles now, no problems. I have the 200 cc motor which is a LIFAN 163 FML. I have read only good things about them. Lots of parts available for them. The frame is a Bear Tracker clone. Looks like parts should interchange, but haven't had the need to find out yet. Parts also seem readily available here and prices are not too bad.

I had one (110 cc), lasted me a year, I went through a clutch, a whole top end, swingarm bushings, and a rear end, and all I did was ride around my house!

I had a 90cc Baja last year before I got my LTR450.... i didn't have any problems. Nothing broke or wore out, and I had put a solid 500km on the bike before we traded it in.

Though to be on the safe side I would recommend that you just keep looking for a used bike....in the long run I think you will be happier.

Thumbs up Marshin ATV

I bought a Marshin 150cc for my son about 5 years ago. Still looks good, runs good, and rides like new. Starts right up everytime. I could sell it for at least what I bought it for today. Since I only paid $800. then and the same ATV is running for $2900. now. Same Dealer, same Place.
Overall, I couldnt be more impressed with the whole deal. I actually only had one problem, and it was actually my fault. I adjusted the front brake to tight and screwed up the caliper. But the parts place was there then, and they are still there now. So, I dont think they are going anywhere any time soon.
