Im looking for a new ATV kinda having hard time picking
I have a honda rancher 350 2x4 and it has last for 9years and still runs great.
Ive been looking at:
Honda Rancher 420( No IRS, No diff lock, and only 6.5in ground clearence) but i know they are very reliable
Honda Foreman 4x4 (7.5in ground clearance is little better)
Yahaha Big Bear 400 4x4(10.5in ground clearance IRS diff lock) after reading some reviews some people had problems with seals leaking
07 suzuki Vinson 500 4x4( seems very powerful and fast) seems to me its built more for speed does it have the power to go through deep mud??
I know i want a 5 speed IRS is a pluss but not a must have i want so mething that has the power and reliablity.

Out of you choices I would get the 500 Vinson,it a totally different class and power compared to your 350 Rancher while the other ATVs are more the same,who wants a riding experience that you already have?
<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>07 suzuki Vinson 500 4x4( seems very powerful and fast) seems to me its built more for speed does it have the power to go through deep mud?? </end quote></div>
It has much more horse power than the other ATVs you mentioned and has a low range so how can it not be good in the mud? Yes the Vinson has speed because you cant help that once your over 30hp.
Honda (2007)
250ex = 16.8 HP
300 EX= 17.1 HP
400 ex= 34.2 hp
500 (fm and fe) =26.9 hp
680 (rincon) =38.5 hp
suzuki ( 2006)
250 = 17.3 hp (2007)
400 eiger = 22 hp (2007)
a500f=32.4
f500f=33.6

If you like the Rancher 350, you will love the 420!!! Better suspension, better power, better handling, fuel injection, water cooled, the best value for your $$$ you will ever find, etc.
Folks tend to obsess about the 6.5" of ground clearance, but believe me it's only a number! I am running 25" aftermarket tires (ITP Holesot ATR's), and my ground clearance is over 8". Even with stock tires, it never held me back. I ride deep snow with big bore big power IRS machines, and they don't get any further up the trail than I do.....
The Foreman is more of a work quad. One of the magazines tested the Foreman and Rancher 420 at he same time, and said the Rancher was way more "fun"!

I was looking at the same ones last year along the same lines you are thinking. I have a buddy with a vinson, perty fast and great in the mud. He had that thing buried in mud and muck and it did great. Tires might have helped, I swear he has tractor tires on that thing!!!
I looked all all the ones you are looking at and ended up getting a PoPo 450 sportsman. Lot of bang for the buck and it was a closeout deal for about 4 grand brand new. I thought I would hate the auto, but few times on the trail and I have grown to really like it.

No, it was not on your list. Here a KQ 450 beating out all the 500s let alone smaller ATVs
