Default diesel quads

So I'm in the market for a new quad. Everytime I'm just about to buy one I pull back. With gas prices like they are it's getting expensive to even play on a quad. I'm happy to say I make my own biodiesel. It's really nice for driving my truck. But I'm starting to see if I can apply it to quads. I am aware artic cat makes a diesel quad, but 800 lbs, wow. I thought the standard utility 600 lbs weight class was bad. Even the old polaris diesel quads are heavy. For the type of riding I do I might as well not even have one for that.

Can anyone suggest an idea I might not have thought of yet to run biodiesel in a quad?

The few diesel quads that have ever been made are strictly work quads.

We ride all day on 2 to 3 gallons of gas. That's like $10. Bite the bullet, accept it for what it is and go get a gas quad.

Yeah I must say my Rancher has excellent mileage. It's not too expensive at all too run. Parts are cheap too. I bet diseal parts are pricier, harder to get and possibly harder to fix.

I agree. It really only costs about $10-20 to play all day. And by the way, a gasoline-engine Polaris weighs about 800lbs. with all fluids ready to ride. I'd hate to see what their Diesel quads weigh.
