Keep in mind that an EFI will start instantly in winter but a carb model may be cold-blooded and take more coaxing. And low range is mandatory for snow-plowing. Check out the snow plowing thread for other people's opinions too.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Originally posted by: eregister

can-ams are really fast and fun. i know alot of people with them and they have had problems with them, but we go muddin' alot too.</end quote></div>

They are really fast and fun, but if they have a problem then remember that there is a 3 year warranty on them.

What is the emphasis on? If its trailriding, then the Rancher 420 or Grizzly 450 would get my pick. For pure work, the Foreman. For mud, the Grizzly 450 or Big Bear 400.

You'll have to evaluate which requirement takes priority. Out of those, I would probably choose the Grizz 450 or Rancher 420.

if you need low range for snow plowing, get the 400 Big Bear IRS. you wont be disappointed. my Big Bear is 9 1/2 years old and it is a freaking mule.

there is not that big of a price gap when comparing the big bear vs the grizzly. maybe a couple of hundred bucks. i am biased when it comes to the big bear, as i own one that is bulletproof. im looking into getting a new one next year, and a big bear it will be.
