You want an MX machine for this (wheelies, jumping, informal motocross). One of the 450's! They are agile and light (50 pounds lighter than anything else), and that is all important in a "play" quad. I think the best pick would probably be the Yamaha.

The KFX700....what have you been smoking???? That thing is a 500+ pound PIG! It's a freaking 2wd utility quad....

The Raptor 660 is narrow, carries its weight high, and that all makes it a little tipsy. Not at all the hot setup for a play quad.

Actually, the most fun "play" quad might just be the Raptor 250???? Just like everybody is ripping around on little biddy dirt bikes...I think there is some real potential there.....

haha idk what my friend was smoking u'll have 2 ask him yourself. the 450s are the most maintenance and you have rebuild them before anything else other than a 2 stroke. He would rather stay outta the motor hes not very mechanically inclined.
O i forgot to mention he wont be buying new

The 450's do all need frequent oil changes (and any machine can benefit from frequent valve adjustments), but beyond that they are not any more high maintenance than anything else. I have a bunch of friend who have literally hundreds of hours on their HRC cammed Hondas and none have ever needed a rebuild yet!!!

But, if he doesn't want to go 450, then his best bet will be a used Suzuki Z400! Great handling machines, and lots of hop-up potential in that engine. Even a 400EX would be a good choice.

Another thing to consider is the size of rider if he is over 6ft he might feel a little cramped on the 400 vs the700. IMO

I love my 700 best quad I have ever owned. The 400 class quads are awsume too but in my poinion still don't hold a candle to the 700! I would reccomend one to anyone looking for a allaround quad!

P.s. the 400ex is probobly one of the loggest lasting/running quads ever build and deff not junk! If someone tells you this they no nothing about quads!

Yea i think thats y he wants the 660 because the 660 and 700 are pretty close 2 the same thing and the 660 costs just as much as a 400ex i think thats his reasoning makes sense if you ask me
