Which ATV would you suggest?
I know it is an open ended question and everyone likes something different for many reasons. However, I'm open to different makes and models.

I'm looking at a 2006 Brute Force 650i 4x4. It is new at a dealership about $5600 out the door. It was left over, obviously from the previous years. Nice bike, it has a lot on it plus camo.

I want a 4x4.
I don't want a sport bike more of a worker, for hunting and taking it out to my in-laws farm for hunting and playing. Maybe put a plow on it for around the house and for riding in the snow with the kids.

Is the two seat version of these ATV's worth the extra money?

I'm sure the 650i is more then what I need, but what are your thoughts? My brother has always had Hondas and they have treated him well.

I will consider all brands, Honda, Can-am, ect.........

Thanks in advance.

I think the 650 is a great ATV, but first, what is your price range? Once we know your price range, we may be able to find you a fuel injected 4x4. I know the Polaris Sportsman 500s are great machines. I also love the Can-ams but they are A LOT of money, but worth it in my opinion.

Being that this is just going to be a toy, I'm not really looking spend 10K but if it is the right bike I would consider it.

So do I buy new from a dealership or should I scan the classifieds for the best deal?
I assume there are a lot of people who have to dump their toys in this economy.

If you ask me, I would scan the classifieds. Look in your local newspaper and scan the internet for private party sales. You'll be amazed at what you find. Many dealers overprice their products to make a good profit for themselves. I could almost guarentee that if you looked hard enough, you could find that same quad or a different one of equal or better value for over $1000 cheaper. Some people do sell their stuff for more than what its worth just to make some cash, but others just want to get rid of whatever they have and will sell for cheap. I say look in the classifieds first. Also, not everyone sells junk either.

Polaris has rebates up to $800 until the end of the month and new may be cheaper than you think. I think the 800 has the $800 rebate and the 500 is $500. A Sportsman 500 X2 is $8,299 before the rebate. When I bought my Sportsman 500 EFI this summer, instead of getting $500 off I got $1,300 off. The 500 X2 will probably be closer to $7000 than $8,299.
