i have an es honda, im not crazy about it. but even if something dose go wrong, which is not very often, you can always use the foot shift attachment. but i would buy the foot shift. to me the odometer and tripometer arnt that important. just something els to break

I feel like cherokee99 The speedometer wasn't that important to me. I felt the simpler I kept the machine the more reliable. And so far its working for me. my 07 rancher has never let me down . Again I'd go for the manual foot shift.

I have an 06 Rancher ES and I had some problems with the ES a few times I was out but after rocking the quad back-and-forth it corrected it self. This only happened a handful of times and other than that it has been a very reliable machine. You might want to wait for the 09 since the is going to have IRS. That is a huge improvement but I believe the cost is going to shoot up 1K
