Default Buying a shee

heya, i currently have a blaster, and im planning on selling it and getting a shee, cause the blaster keeps feeling slower by every ride...

now.. i got about 6 people i called.. 5 of them said there shees were 2005 model, and one of the ones which im mostly interested in said its 2006 special edition (yellow/black).

i have 2 questions.. since all the non 2006 shees all said it was " 2005" is it because im guessing they all look the same and you cant tell the difference between a 1999 lets say and a 2005 one? so they are just lying?

and another thing is, anything i can check or things i can do to see that its not a bad quad and they are just selling it because it has alot of problems?

the only thing i have ever done was change spark plug, change the oil, and clean my air filter, so im no mechanic, and just need abit of advice on what i can capitalise on when taking a look at these quads.

The 10th digit in the VIN is the year!

is that vin code for all makes modles and years?

blaster1990 for the most part just look at the bikes if they are nice and clean than they were probaly taken care of. and no thier are diffrences in the way the bikes look thru out the years if you go to bikepics.com you can look at all bikes and all years.

Table goes from 1971-2010. 71 thru 79 has the same numbers as 01 thru 09. Can't remember the first year of the Shee, but you should be able to tell a 20 year old quad if they overlap.

It would be a 30 year difference, not 20. It should be really easy to tell if it's over 30 years old.

Shee's first year was 1987 and didn't have a-arms untill 1990. You shouldn't have any overlapping #'s.
