RZR's strengths are: it's a legal two person machine that will fit on almost any trail in the US, good strong motor, easy to use, great handling because of low center of gravity, good area in back for carrying stuff. Bad: watch out for deep water crossing as your seat is not as high as a quad seat. Kawi BF 650 strengths: good ground clearance, great torque, high seating for water crossings, nice aggressive looking quad. Bad: have to squeeze and hold onto a lever to lock in the front axle completely, single rider machine. My .02 worth.

I always say......

Why drive when you can ride?

Roads are for driving, trails are for riding........

Since I can't afford both I'll stick with an ATV. A couple guys on the forum with BF 650s really like them. I think most of the trails I ride would be hard to get the RZR down even though it's only 2" wider than my quad.

I've had several atv's and then a rhino (see list at bottom). I modded out the rhino, but it still wasn't near as much fun as an atv. So.....I parted ways with it and bought atv's again. It just didn't do it for me. I'm sure the rzr is a little more fun than the rhino, but there is no substitution for riding vs. driving. Just my 2 cents, which is worth much less nowadays!

My buddy has a rzr and I have seen it go where other atvs don't. That may be because he's crazy though. It's great fun, eats up the bumps like nothing I've seen and you ride in comfort. If you can afford the upgrade to the rzr, do it.

I have a rzr love it for riding with all the guys with 4 x 4's. Excellent in the rough stuff. Haven't found a trail I couldn't get down.
But buying an outlaw 525 to go out with the guys that have honda 450r's.

We have had a Rhino for the past 2 yrs. DH had a stroke 4 yrs. ago which he recovered from with a lot of hard work. Still had and has a weakness in his right side, so he switched from a Polaris sportsman to the Rhino. We both love it! But, this past summer at our end of season club ride and pig roast, our local Polaris dealer, OutdoorsInMotion brought a new Rzr for demo rides on our mountain. What a great ride! That's all it took...looks like a new Rzr will be with us in a couple of months.

RZR fits on almost any trails in the USA? Not where I ride for sure, not even close. IMO you can't compare the two at all. They are completely different. Where we ride there was a couple of guys trying to go through a mudhole that was easy for a quad, but nearly impossible for the RZR. I'm not knocking the side by sides at all, its just that you can't compare the two.
