Default Buying two XP's - how much should I haggle?

I dont like to be the guy who beats up the salesman for every last dime, but it does seem in this market, you can be a little aggressive when it comes to buying 'luxury items'.....especially two of em...

As usual, MSRP is out of the question (always has been except for special ordered cars, etc..)...Now if I can swing it before June 30, I can take advantage of the $400 rebate (some dealers are advertising $400+free winch only on 550xp?). My local dealer said he would do $400 off MSRP on both. Later I asked about buying two, and he said he would do a smokin deal for me on two.....how much is smokin? Another dealer said he doesnt have to deal b/c they basically sell as soon as they hit the ground...even has a waiting list...

How much more should I try and deal? Ask more than the $400 rebate?......throw in extended warranties? Winches? Brush guards? Riding gear? What have your experiences been?

I got 10% off the price of my X2 but they wouldn't install the winch that came as part of a Polaris incentive. They try to make you feel like a jerk but they make a good amount of money on each quad and on the times you bring it to them to work on.

Watch out for set up fees. Also, they will mess with your interest rate to try to amke some money back if your financing. As a general rule I discovered after I purchased that they will jack your interest rate up about 2 points more than you get approved for.

I think it all depends on what YOU feel is a fair price, yes msrp is b.s. but as far as the freebees thats really up to you tell the dealer that is willing to make the deal (stay away from the one that has the imaginary waiting list) what you would like to have. Then go from there, and don't be in a hurry. sometimes you get the best deals when your ready to bail out and go elswhere!!! Big thing is be nice and be firm on what you want. Just my opinin. Good Luck... wanna see some pics when u get them !!

You should be able to get a few hundred off the $400 ($800 for both) rebate. I would think that an additioanal $250 + the $400 rebate ($1,300 for two) plus the winch offer would be fair. Two machine should offer a larger discount!

Go to the Polaris page and ask this question.
