Default Buying An ATV

I am currently in the market for an ATV. I am in need of some feedback. It would primarily be used for hunting. What would be the best for the price? Probably gonna get a used one. Thank You

What kind of terrain would you be likely to see? Mud, water, rocks, steep hills, just flat trails?

A little bit of everything....Would not be using it for any hard work. Just hunting.

Sounds like you could buy about anything. Generally speaking, Honda is considered most reliable. I dislike that they don't have a full locker up front but that only applies to steep rocky terrain, snow, and deep mud. Polaris has best comfort ride-wise and has great on board storage options for gear. Their 500 is pretty bulletproof. Suzuki and Yamaha make great machines. Can-Am usually has the most power per cc of the utilities. Kawasaki doesn't really have a 500 class machine but the Prairie 360 is a good quad. Don't know much at all about Arctic Cats. A 500 class machine will pretty much cover all your bases need-wise. They have decent speed, good torque, toting, and towing. My personal favorite is the Polaris Sportsman X2. It has a rear dumpbox that converts to a second passenger seat. The rear springs on the X2 are rated at 400 lbs. so it's got the most toting capacity of any quad out there. It all depends on your price range and what you're willing to spend. There are good deals on Craigslist but there are lots of scams too.

Any of the 500 class 4x4s will probably do anything you want them to.
