Another general question to all. I have heard that the Polaris engines run on high RPM and are a bit noisy. This makes me very nervous... Is there any validity to this or is it just online crap? If there is any truth to this, is the 850 quieter?
BTW, I found a 2011 800 EFI for 6K (NEW), and a 2012 for 6.8K (NEW). I would love to just pick up the 11 if there are absolutely no differences between the two... are there any differences? Also, I cannot find an 850 for less than 8.2K in my area, so is it def worth the 2K difference?
You have all been very helpful.

A 2012 850XP holds 5.25 gallons of fuel.
I have put 300 miles on this one and the more I ride it the more I understand how it works the less impressed I am.
That's what makes choosing the right ATV soo difficult.

I find the engine/drive train very noisey.
If you have the extra money and have already decided on buying a Polaris go for the 850 XP over the 800.
