Default Sport ATV?

I am looking for a good sport atv for trail riding and just playing around with. I was looking at a few. I think a 250 would be right for me, but what do you think? Im 5'3, 130lbs. I need an atv that wont need contsant maitnence like a ktm. I was looking at maybe a suzuki 400, yamaha raptor 250 or a honda trx 250x. what do you think?

If you're looking for low maintenance, you can't beat the Honda trx 300 or 400. Plenty of mods out there to boost power too. Should be able to find a good used one at a good price.

X2 Great quads for what you're describing.

i concur. i have a trx250, it's a good quad, for my kids. i'm 6' and a little over 200 lbs, i make it top heavy so i don't ride it. like the others have stated, at least a 300cc or larger. look at the wheel base dimensions also, that'll help you on stability. at least that's what i do. helps me out anyways.

I am in with those suggesting the 300/400EX or Z400. All excellent quads. The little 300 is pretty mellow and excellent for a smaller and/or less aggressive rider. It slides, wheelies, is capable of small jumps, etc like a sport quad should be. Either of the 400s may be a better choice for you depending on how/where you plan to use it and your ability.

Okay. I trust Honda too, and I know their a good company since I own a Honda crf70 (use it to stunt) . Plus, its about $2000 less than a raptor 450. Thanks for all the help!

I found a new 2007 300 ex for sale near me for $3,999. Is that a good deal?I think a 300 might be just right.

If it's a new, unused 300ex that's a good deal. A new 2011 250ex costs $4399.

Not up on Sport ATVs but if they make one, I would rather have one with a rear shaft drive rather then lubing and tightening a chain all the time. Plus a shaft has more ground clearance at the rear with no chain and sprockets to wear out.
