A dealer by me made me put a deposit down before he would run my credit check. So he charged my credit card for $100. I ended up getting the bike elsewhere, told him and he said he would take off the charge. This was back in February and I am still calling them every month since my bill comes in with no credit from them. If I didn't pay close attention to my statement I wouldn't even of noticed them not crediting my card.

This is a sure way to a dealer to make money by just running a credit check on you. If you dont get the bike or you application is denied,,they dont credit your card and you might not notice.

So make sure they credit your card or they probably won't.

You need to call your credit card company ASAP. Tell them you got charged for no service provided and wish to dispute the charge. They will tell you how to write a letter to them to make it official. They should take the charge off no problem once they have your letter.

I'd say a $100 charge for a credit check is bogus in the first place.
