Hi all,

New to the forum, on the market for a new sport quad. Due to price range I've narrowed it down to the Yamaha Warrior vs. the Honda 300ex. I like to ride aggressively (being an avid snowmobiler). I'd like to know some differences between these two when it comes to power, handling, etc. I know the Warrior's 50cc's bigger, but is it much faster? The Honda's $500 cheaper...is it a better bargain?

Thanks.

Somebody asks this question every week! I rode a Warrior for years and this is the same speech I give everybody: The Warrior is an old tired design, and Yamaha needs to update/replace it. The Warrior is big and handles like a heavy bike, though it does jumps pretty well. Its suspension is OK for cruising, but when you get in the whoops at high speed, it will buck you off. Sure it's faster, but doesn't have the suspension to really use it well. The 300 has good suspension but is a bit underpowered. It jumps and wheelies like a pro, and I think it is the best pure trail bike out there. You didn't say what size you are. I am 5'7", and the 300 is right at my size limit.
