Price of a used King Quad
#1
Greetings,
I posted a similar question in the Susuki forum so appologies to all -- but I really want to get info on this.
A friend of mine was offered a 300 cc Susuki for $2000. It has the 3-tier transmission, but we don't know enough about Susuki's to know whether it is a King Quad or Quad Runner or what. Can you tell me how long the 3-level trans has been around and, given its a 300, how old it might be? And how we might tell what year it is?
I check the Kelly Blue Book and $2k looks ok for a 1990, but bad for a 1985. It has an inch of dust on it so it can't be that new. Repairs are no problem -- this guy is very handy with a tool set (you should see the job he did on modifying my insane flail mower). So any insight you might offer is greatly appreciated.

If its a 300cc and not the 250,its a King Quad.If its a 250cc,its a Quad Runner.
Except for engine size[280cc vs 250cc]there is very little differance in these two ATVs.The 300 has an oil cooler and a little larger tires and is a tad snappier. Both ATVs are pretty reliable.I cant remember the breaking point on the yrs, sorry, perhaps someone else could assist you with that?
