How about you give more info. I owned an 87 Mojave, and I am not to fond of them so I'll probably say it's crap. Maybe someone who is unbiased towards them can help.

first of all, the bike is 15 years old. You put the abuse and punishment into a quad that has been driven on a frequent basis and you probably are not going to be happy with the results. You have to take into consideration how often was the oil changed, air filter cleaned, maintained. what is the body condition and has it ever been wrecked. I personally would not buy a 15 year old machine. I would not want someone else's headaches. You always get what you pay for. If you go cheap, you get cheap. besides, I believe that the mojave is a two stroke and that means even more maintenance and up keep. I would not buy it. Invest the extra cash a buy a reliable machine.

Mojave's are 4-Strokes. Anyway, I would stay away from it, because I bought mine for $1000 with intentions to ride it for a couple months then get a 250R when I found a clean one. Well, first I broke the swingarm becasue I jumped a 30 foot double and it cracked, then by the time I noticed it, there was basically no swongarm left. Aftter 6 months of waiting on Kawie to get me a new swingarm, I put it back on and the bolt holes are WAYYY off, so I had to shave out the holes for the bolts to fit. After I rode it for a month it lost spark, I took it to my neighbor is a small eninge mechanic and he couldn't find anything wrong with it. So I traded it for the LT500 chassis. That's myy experinece with them, and you can make your own decision now.
