first of think of reliability and price. Take for granite I know a boy with a cannondale its a piece of crape. Honda would be your best bet since you got a budget. Its fun to ride you can wheelie it all day long it is real realiable and its quick. mine will run 74mph through the quarter but I have put little stuff on it like k&n filter jetts and wb ex. and head pipe peace. good luck buying a quad. Oh yeah a majove will run about 45 with a k&n and pipe.

 

I think most of you missed the part in the first post about how he couldn't afford a Raptor ($6500) How the heck would he be able to buy a C-dale ($8,000)?

The only four stroke I know of right now that would come close to the 250R for under 6K is the zuki Z400. I've got 100 dollar bill that says the Z will smoke a 400 ex (stock vs. stock).
