and the belt drives have a clutch also, just like a manual even though you don't have to operate it yourself it's in there.

Well, if your dad is buying the quad, and is going to get you a Polaris, be happy, you're still getting a quad. I assume that you are still learning the basics of ATV riding, so you have plenty of time before you are capable enough to handle a more performance oriented machine. An automatic makes it easy to focus on the fundamentals of riding (i.e. proper body positioning, safety measures, etc.). So, no need to be dissappointed if you don't start with the biggest, fastest machine. I didn't, but I sure appreciated it a lot more when I got my first race bike. If you are looking at only Polaris automatics, take a look at the Scramblers (400 2-Stroke/500 4-Stroke). HAVE FUN and BE SAFE!!!

if he's making you get a polaris i would get the 400 (basically a 400 scrambler 2WD) on a 4 stroke the clutches last for decades, the only way a clutch will go out is like lt250r said, or if you hold it half way in through the corners (to keep the motor on the powerband) i don't think you'll be doing any of these stunts on your new quad, but mabey your dad thinks an auto is better for you, and this is his reasoning for that.

the 300EX does have reverse but it's a joke of a design...anyone have a third hand??

well the 400 4 by doesn't exist anymore, so get the 500, anyways it'll last longer (the motor) and they have arounf the same speeds. they are a fair bit more than a 250 trailblazer though!

Hi there!!
Well...to tell u the trouth, I'm not a Polaris fan, they'r too heavy and the 500 4X4 ....god..thats a really heavy thing! And the automatic trasnmission doesnt call me to ride it...:/
I sugest u take a Z400 to the teste....Its a very good and reliable bike...suzuki has always been reliable during the years...I had a LT80 for 12years, always in the best shape...The honda....erm...what can u say...its good...but...reverse?? :/
I'm now thinking of buying a banshee in 2nd hand and restoring it...lets see how it goes...
Good like and good driving..

Dude with your measurments i wouldnt go bigger then a 300ex. So that leaves the blaster, lakota, moajave and the 250ex.
