For really tight trails I would go with the Kawasaki Mojave. Personally I love my Bear Tracker. It can go anywhere.

hi guys, thanks for all of the replys.

i went and looked at yamaha's today. the bear tracker is a nice looking machine, and it is only 39" wide. The kodiaks look pretty good too, and they are just a tad over 42, that is pretty good for a 4x4 model!

I also just found a 1986 honda 250sx three wheeler for sale, they want $900 for it. the pic shows it has a rack on it. Do any of you guys know about these units? I did a search in the atc section, just found guys talking about ways to hop them up. one good point about 3 wheeler is, if you do get into some tight trees with no way around, you can lift one side up to fit between!

I have two bombardier rallys one sportsman 500 a kodiak and a yamaha breeze .
for the type of riding your wanting to do i would have to say go buy your self a kodiak 400
or 450 you will love it the rallys are okay in tight trails and a lot of fun to ride but they only
pull 500 lbs.

good luck.

wisconsinrider,

do the rallys have enough power for small hills and crawling over logs, etc? the kodiaks do sound like a lot better machine, but my local dealer is trying to sell his last 2 rallys for 2800, that is some cheap fun!

Yes the rally's have plenty of power for climbing hills they put out 18 horse. and that moves the 382 lb.
machine pretty good. Ive used them for work a little. cutting down trees loading them in a trailer hauling
them to the woods. there good for small jobs. I use mine to get the 5 x8 trailer out from under the deck
when I need it. now the 16 foot trailer that weighs over 1600 lbs. That's where the Kodiak comes in
for the bigger job. If the Rally will do what you want why spend twice as much.

Sportsman 500HO
kodiak 400
Breeze
Rally red
Rally yellow

thanks, i would prefer the kodiak, but for the money, the rally would do just about everything i want. i'll decide for sure after the accountant tells me how much i owe for taxes!
