ds 650 huge problem

Default ds 650 huge problem

my ds is coughing at three thousand rpm and when i get on it in fourth gear to fifth at about five or six it starts to back fire or it just dies. but it will start up agian i put new plugs and fuel filter on and the fuel filter wouldnt fill up
tried to get the carb out but the guy i bought it from striped the screws out. what do i do

Pull the fuel line off the carburetor and see if fuel runs out when you turn the gas on.

Also, You should be able to check the rubber diaphram, without removing the carburetor.

fuel runs out. were is the diafram at? and there was a bunch of junk in the hose that connects to the carb.

ok now i have gas flowing out the tube on the bottom of the the carberatuer after running for a while it i run a screw in the hose will it still run good?

You need to pull the carb off and check the needle & seat and the float level. If you had junk in the hose you need to clean the carb and blow out passages and jets.
