Does your crankcase vent hose route up and around into the snorkel tube under the tank cover? That's where it's supposed to be and it recycles the vapor back through the airbox where it is filtered and heads back through the carb.

Welcome to the forum.

I'd recommend that since you just got your DS that you pull that tube off, flush it really well with carb cleaner, clean the rest of the blowby off of everything, and then keep an eye on it. Oil does build up in there over the years and you may just be riding it enough to blow some of the build up out. If it's still what you deem excessive after a while then do a compression check. Might be time for some piston rings.

make sure the line comes out of the crank and goes up with no trap in it if it goes down then up sometimes oil will build up and plow out all of it at once making a big mess.
