I think you should look at the Lectron 46 High Velocity Carb. I guess it works like the 42 on the bottom and the 46 on top. It suposedly has NO low end stumble.. They run $450. You need the ported intake for the 46..

I bought my Lectron 44 new for $240.00. That was already set up for my bike and jetted with additional jets and shipping.

I'm looking to buy a new carb (gas) and I'm considering the Lectron (46 mm). Could you expand on how much better the 45 is compared to the Lectron? I want a carb that is going to give me the best overall performance....duning and dragging.

On a percen.tage level i would say its 20% better when tuned right it is just smoother pulling and i belive it pulls longer and harder all the way threw!!! and it is less tempermental to alltitude changesbut the lectron i belive is a better alcahol carb due to its simplicity and plastic bowl!! and it is easy'er to tune toogood luck with your decision!!

good info.

Predator530,

I think the TM42mm woulsd be the perfect carb for the predator, I have seen some modified DS's run VERY well withy this carb, so i would think with your mods your preditor would be perfect also. The 45mm would be alittle much for you dissplacement, not sayig that it wouldnt work, just the 42mm would work better. IMHO

BIgger.
