They did very well!! Definately the fastest Hondas I have seen at LS. Thier was a yellow and silver EX, I think they were 465's or 440's,and the black one was said to be a 505. They yellow and silver one was hanging neck -n neck with me all day,, but I always had to come from behind to catch and pull past them.(THEIR QUIUCK!!) I never got to race the Black 505, cause he blew his motor!! about the 3rd pass(sorry to have heard that).

I was feeling pretty good about my quad, but then about 7:30 that evening I noticed that my TOP/CENTER spark plug wire was hanging off! LOL!! I had been running like that all day! after DSmike and I put cams in that morning! LOL. Well I picked up about another 4 quad lenghts after that, but the Ex's were in camp for the night I guess.

I think there was a pretty fast Rappy with them also, but he was about 4-5 lenghts behind the ex's. ON A SIDE NOTE!! I was watching the Ex's run at the strip and noticed that the guy on the rappy was starting the races, and it looked like they had a "system" worked out! LOL. I was wondering how they got thier AWESOME holeshots. LMAO!!

But like I siad they were very good competition and I welcome them back anytime.

Yes those 400's are fast here. They are a good group to ride with. Havent gotten to talk to them much at all since they got back. I didnt even know that Johns bike broke. I will talk with him tomorrow. But they did bring a hour long video back with them. Going to see it tomorrow. The fast rappy they had with them was a home made version of a 690. Same bore and compression as the sparks bikes with a home grown port and polish job. We are going in October. Hopefully by then I will have my 733 kit. Maybe even the nos to go along with it.

 

I can see why you want to get the 733, That is a fast group you guys got thier. I heard the black EX could put about 8 lenghts on the other guys, so it was fortunate for me that we didnt race![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

You know whats bad about that situation is. He just got the bike together about a week ago. They went to the dunes here for break in and testing. Then they went this weekend to Ok. Thats ok cause he is having a bigger motor being built as we speak. Also the silver and red bike has another motor being built also.

 

I heard that he dropped a valve, and it trashed his head! So he may have to start over, the siver one was definatly faster than the Yellow one, and they were ALL very SHARP quads!


Thanks for the heads up!! Thats not good news for me if they are getting even faster, but I think they will have a hard time, keeping those EX engines together, I hear when you get those engine around 60hp the cases cant take it!!
