When to get the shimm under bucket??

Default When to get the shimm under bucket??

Web cam says anything over .400 lift...
Well RW says the a1 and a2 .433 & .406 DONT need the conversion kit??

what do you mean??
ONLY those brands??
So the run woods a1/a2 dont need them??

Default When to get the shimm under bucket??

You can get shimm under bucket kits from PAMI or Web Cam's Sam Coe sells the Web cams one. They will work with any set of cams and are a must for high RPM. The hard part is finding the shims. I had to have my valve stems tiped.

MudStud,
Save your money... you don't need shim under bucket. If you puke a shim at the RPMs that you will be running it will be because the set-up was wrong. Just seat the shims properly and adjust the lash in spec and you'll be good to go. PS, sorry to read about your motor bummer[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

Default When to get the shimm under bucket??

i don't have shim under bucket and mine gets reved a lot. i think i read dsmike doesn't run shim under bucket, and i think i saw he runs hugh cams. plus the shims are easy to find and not hard to adjust.
