wshrdskin or Eaglecollector:

When wshrdskin had the 11-1 piston and Stage 1 cam, Did you ever run Eaglecollector when he had his with a Cam Piston and 45mm Carb. ? How did that race go?

Thanks
Nocando

the gear is steele, and the cam is cast. you will need to find a qualified welder to do this. weld each spoke of the sprocket as equal as possible (there not a balanced deal) you don't have to over do it,just secure the sprocket.

RaptorRider660R... yes we did, many time in fact. Fo rthe most part we are dead even. Whoever get the hole shot. It's been that way from day 1 off the show room floors. Although I will say that, Daves bike did better in the AM (cooler temps). Mine did better as the day warmed up.

JEFFROE....thanks for the heads up, i'll be sure and ask to make sure when I do pick up the head. Also when I did the piston from woods I got the rings wrong. It smoked as you say. I though it was valve guides. Now I know diff. Any how I found out about the rings by accident while talking to Elloit at woods when I dropped off my head and cyclinder. I'll do it right this time for sure, Now that I know.

Tony...Not only should I have, but it would have been cheaper too. For some reason I got the impression your plate was full. When I talked to Elliot today he said that they had already started the head work. But that he hasn't gotten it back yet. UPS still hasn't been there. So i'll call again in a little bit to see.
See ya at Pismo.

From the top down
Compression ring
Total seal ring ( this is a two peice ring, it'll make sence when you see it)
Oil ring

The only thing I still have yet to find out is that the piston has 4 groves. I know the top grove is Compression and the bottom grove is oil. But that leaves two coices for the total seal ring????

That will work as long as their not linned up. I just asked Elliot and he said that one of the groves is not a ring grove. It is just for oiling purposes.

Nocando, you can see several races by us with the two quads you mentioned in the videos in my signature from Dumont Dunes. Fairly even but, I think I had the edge most.
