Default How's the DS650!!

I just paid off my raptor and was thinking about getting a DS650 but what are they like, how do they handle, and what are the pros/cons of getting one? Information would really be helpful!!

Default How's the DS650!!

I tell ya, I was really skeptical at first to get it considering its weight. I have had my baja now for almost 2 months, and wouldnt trade it for the world. I owned a raptor before this, and loved it as well but I really enjoy the way the ds handles and rides. Doesn't wheelie as easy stock, but i have no problem getting it up. .. but anyways....great bike all around. I cant wait to mod mine out.

You'll be impressed. Im sure if you meet up with some of us, there probably isn't anyone here that wouldnt let you try it out..!!

I love the DS650's looks, I first noticed them in Huevos IV, I heard that if you change the gearing that it can go up to 90 MPH is that true... How does it climb and how is it jumping? I catch massive air on my raptor like 30-45 foot in the air and I want something that has great shocks... does the DS650 offer this?

Yes, the DS has the most suspension of any production quad, you wont be disappointed.

ChubbyNug you 35to40ft in the air and flat land.WOW What axle, wheels, etc?Do you have any pics?I have a 2001 DS650 that I've had for three seasons now and the thing has been awesome. No problems except I've broken the rear shock bolts, flattened the stock rear rims and killed my battery that I think is a result of jumping BIG.110FT flat landing 5th gear pinned.I love the bike minus the wieght.

Ya it is also very fast with different gearing, but the thing is it has MORE than enough power to pull higher gearing. If u look at my mods below u will notice I have a 1 tooth bigger front sproket, and it goes 85 without a problem.

Also I take big jumps too and it's awesome!!! I did a 60ft flatland jump and it didn't quite bottom out, and it was set up for my weight but wasn't stiff at all. VERY NICE!!

Thanx man.... I am currently working on a 2003 Yamaha R1 Engine swap into a brand new 2003 Raptor that i just bought, so that makes 2 - 2003 Raptors I have bought and I plan on getting a DS650 within the next month or even in a couple of weeks... But other than that I will have some fast azz quads!! Approximately what is the weight of a DS650? Just Curious...
