hi

I'm working on a 650 for a guy and never worked on one before any how this bike starts fine but as soon I release the start button it dies but wile I have the button push I can rev it up runs fine is there a safety switch or some other safety crap like on a banshee thor?? I cant fine any plug unplugged broken wire any help would be grateful

1st time I've heard of that, Prehaps a loose connection on the kill switch located next to the starter switch. Maybe the pressure of pressing the start button keeps the kill switch contacts open, than when you release it, the thing shorts closed killing the bike? Just a guess...
I'm not aware of any safety items. Just a kill switch and a Key switch.
