i was crusin along and all the sudden the ds kinda like slowed down, locked up and let off and locked up again and made some sick noises... so it locked up and i came to a stop. i put it in neutral and pushed it back and forth and its making a horrable grinding and squeeking noise. i also noticed where the 2 bolts you loosen to adj. the chain there is a big gap in the axle carrier. and the sproket bolts rub on the axle carrier wtf? has this happoned to any of you guys? whats wrong? o and the lock nut on the left side on the axle, threds are showing and they didnt before. help please!!

i did a search, and its a bering isnt it? looks like im gonna have to tear it down

 

Yes, it sounds like your bearings went out. Does the axle feel 'sloppy' in the carrier? Hopefully you didn't do any damage to the carrier. Good luck with it.

YES IT'S UR BEARINGS!!!! Mine just did the same thing just last week: Going as fast as it will go, mine does around 85 and it just locked up!!! I thought I locked up the motor at first but it was the bearings. I got new ones and it works fine now.
