A funny story
#1
I have a friend who rides a Quadzilla and we battle back and forth all the time he has a bit more power it seems but the DS out jumps his. Anyway we were unloading our bikes last week razzing each other back and forth as usual and he commented on a post he had read concerning the DS 650 "Why buy one when you can just follow one around and pick up the parts" with that I just reach over and press my starter switch with a grin while he jumps up and down trying to kick start that 500cc two stroke. Well as we got the bikes started we took off down one of the trails like bat out of hell. Approx 1/2 mile down the trail he pulls over gets off his bike and starts looking around. I come back to see what happened and he tells me that his brake handle fell off. After about 15minutes the elusive brake handle is found. With 10minutes , a nail and a zip tie we are off again. We are in and out of trails when we come upon a nice 4 foot jump. Being the jumpers we are we hit the jump back and forth a few times and he stops again this time he has broken his chain. No amount of Zip ties are going to help him this time so I break out the tow strap I carry to to pull start his beast and tow him back to the parking area our day done Total elapsed riding time 45min He has yet to here the end of this. I guess the bottom line of this story is lots of guys out there are ready to tell us that our bikes are junk because they do not come from the big four manufacturers but what I tell them back is that not only is the Bomber a great machine but when their lesser quads break down it also makes a great Tow truck as well. I have yet to have any major part break on me out in the field and I am confident that I will always come back under my own power. I had to share this one with you all.

I know the feeling of being a tow truck, all to well.
As I was getting ready to do my burn out at LVMS, one of the track officials approached and asked if I would come back to the starting line after my pass. I was somewhat confused, but agreed. After my 13.5, I came back to the starting pad to see what was up. I was informed that the track officials forgot to bring the keys for their quads, and they wanted me to tow a Viper ,that had lost a clutch, away from the track. I still don't understand why they wanted me to do it instead of using a truck, but my brother caught it on video, just for laughs.

The only bike I give a hard time to is a Raptor, we ALL know there history. I doubt there has EVER been one Raptor towing something back.. Maybe another Raptor!
Ahhh just giving ya'll a hard time. I totally agree, from what I have seen of them.

cool story, and so true too.
he who is still breathing at the end of the battle wins.
a little prep and maintenance and maybe you would have been able to enjoy your day more.
been there, done that, didnt like it.
hang in there
