Wow what a weekend it's been! I have been to dune heaven and they actually let me in This is a must ride area for any one that loves the sport. I was in awe at the size of the dunes on the far west side THEY are HUGE !! the bowls are spectacular the transitions from one set to the adjoining are so seemless that we were in 3rd and 4th almost the whole time. The valleys we entered were sometimes so steep that you could just see where the sand naturally cascades down in long streaks. Devils dune is truly the mother of all sand piles that I've seen , I just stood by and couldn't get over the enormity of it all, The Punisher was just a little speck on the face of that great hill. We spent all day Saturday running the dunes on the west side of the road that leads to Sand hills resort ( very nice camp site, grass and trees and full hook up at each site) The dune complex spans appoximately 55,000 acres and we only saw a small portion and covered about 70 miles doing it.
Choke cherry was fun - I still prefer Utah's comp hill but other than that St Anthony is my new favorite complex. For those of you familar with Sand Mtn Ne. picture that one long dune and then picture 50 more just like it creating valley after valley weaving in and out and the ride is a roller coaster you'll never forget!
The scenery is beautiful, there are lush green farm lands surrounding the dunes and a lake on the edge of the dunes, we saw a kid on a quad pulling his buddy on a wake board just ridding the perimeter and MR.DS from Calgary was there showing us his water crossing skills in 4th gear
The back side of the Grand Tetons (Yellowstone) is visible to the east as well as more sand that went on as far as the eye could see.
Big thanks go out to The Punisher for his hospitality as host and tour guide, and to the canadians who drove 12 hours to get there. Hope they get the trailer replaced by insurance ( I'll let them explain)
all in all awesome weekend !

My sister-in-law and I both own a ds and can't wait to go. My husband owns a Banshee and her husband owns a Honda 250R But they love our bikes. We'll be up July 12-13 We wanted to go when someone was talking about having a ds Days in St Anthony's That would be so cool
My husband is bound and determined to kill me he wants me to get a turbo exhaust etc. I think it's so I can beat our friend that owns a Raptor but I have already road raced him and he has his piped and K7n filter and I still whip him stock
